Some product links in our stories are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a small commission. The price you pay stays the same.

Articles that contain affiliate links carry a short note near the top saying so. Shoppable product links are marked as sponsored in the page code so search engines treat them correctly.

Our editors choose products because we think they are worth your attention. Commission rates play no part in what we feature or how we describe it, and brands cannot pay to be included in our edits, reviews or roundups.

• Gifted or press samples: if a product was sent to us free of charge, we say so in the article.
• Paid partnerships: content a brand has paid for or approved is clearly labelled as “Advertisement” or “Paid partnership” at the top, in line with the UK Advertising Codes (CAP Code).
• Hotels and travel: if a stay or trip was hosted, we say so in the article.
